Every few hours sometimes even less it will pop up without fail, you need an absurd amount of books, magazines, newspapers, comic books or foods just to keep it at bay otherwise you'll get nasty permanent nervous wreck that will definitely ruins your game play experience.

Queasy can show up for a variety of reasons and the best way to tell if you're infected is that a short while after being injured via zombie your character will become queasy and anxious. And hot. And a zombie. 'Infected' in the health panel is never zombification. It means you have a regular bacterial infection on your wound.
