I had to put a lot more funding in my PF and quite a few more levels in order to get enough node slots to really make it feel good. MM is a lot stronger earlier, requiring a lot less to get going, the main downside is the slight learning curve of MM's long animations.

Play the class you can master. As long as know that class like the back of your hand, you gonna be good. But when you reach a certain point, you'll have to go for parties. Starting lucid and up. If you want to boost others feel free. As far as node shards, you should only be crafting your 4 main skill nodes. It's more node efficient to do that instead of crafting boost nodes. The multiplier for all class skill nodes from 1->30 is 2.16x, unless the skill node is affected by a boost node. Boost nodes are 2.20x.I have 7.6k legion to back it up, however, which makes a big difference as the mules are relatively low funded. Use either: abso 3 set with tyrant boots cape, or abso 5 set. In both cases you keep your cra top bottom and hat, and use abso weapon gloves shoulder. The damien weeklies are easier anyways. One of my mules soloed lomien at 10k thanks to maxed boosts.
